Re: Continued Observation of Predators (yotes)

Had some game cam footage of two yotes running down the fence line out back. They love to run between the hills before midnight and the cold air comes in. Moments before the yotes ca,e thru there was my wife's nemesis on camera, a rabbit, hanging out in the area. I say here nemesis because she is mo...

Re: Home Heating in the GSM

The paper logs/bricks, IMO, should be kept as sort of backup to toss in to either stoke the fire, get it going or just buy a little time for you to get out to the woodpile that day. Yes, they may add a little to the cleaning time but all who I see use this method have not reported anything exception...

Re: 2019 RED Alerts!

So many lessons learned this year at the expense of lives. This is a very difficult year but one the wise will use to move towards a better level of preparedness and sustainability. Each one of us must evaluate how to be better prepared for next winter after seeing the winter of '19. Cause it is ver...

Re: BUGS & Ticks !!!!!!!!

Here in the Ozarks we use powdered sulfur we buy from the feed store to deter ticks. Put some in a sock and knock it around your (knee highs) boots. They do not like it at all.

Re: Pastured Broiler System

Farside, I am going to be following this as you progress. Very interesting what you are doing and you are really working into the preparedness level 3 of sustainability. It is great to see people thinking outside the box and doing! My idea was to have the tractors made out of pvc so as to be able to...

Re: Hardening Your Property

Most all of your points will not stop determined raiders. I started covering each of the points you made with counterpoints based on real world happenings. Then I thought, why bother, just search YT for South African farm attacks. You will learn how these murderous rape gangs plan and work an attack...

Continued Observation of Predators (yotes)

I have several projects of note that are ongoing atm. One, I worked today was game camera check and tracking of predators. Namely the coyotes in the area. Unfortunately, they were too far away from game cam at night to be picked up. It was night time so the cheaper game cam I have just could not rea...

Hello from the Ozarks!

Ice Age Prepper here! Once an awareness of the increasing mini-ice age was laid upon me it was then I decided to do. It is time to move to to doing. Beyond merely putting aside MREs, buying ammo and watching videos of fear mongers! So I sold my home in the big city and moved to the countryside in th...
