HarvestRight medium size. Save up your money, and get the 'scroll vacuum' option. Much less mess, and longer lasting.

I use that device to vacuum seal in mason jars, 30 seconds is all it takes!

At least two brands, one being 'FoodSaver', have models that feature a vacuum port, flex line and widemouth jar attachment, for sucking out the air. I also use my food freeze dryer for the 1/2 gallon jars, because I can evacuate several at one time with it.

You go buy sacks of rice, then portion them into big mason jars, and use the vacuum sealer machine to evacuate the air. Keep out of direct sunlight. Such rice will retain nutrition for many years.

We have a closely related species down here in the southeast called, by various names Wax Myrtle, flea bush, etc. Full of eucalyptoid oils, repels insects underneath a house. Boil the thousands of male plant berries, and make candles just like Bay Berry. Goats love to eat the tree, as well. Old time...
