The Dalton Minimum

Thought we could use a topic dedicated to the last GSM of 1790 to 1830.
1816 was dubbed "the year without summer", where snow and killing frost in Eastern Canada marked June, July, and August. Meanwhile, the Northwest passage was open for shipping.

Nasa seems to think this GSM will be just like the last one. That means drought and cold in north america, with insect plagues in the fall that eat what little crops remain. Corn will fail and so will wheat. But it will be a great time to shoot people at the moon so there is a silver lining.
