Atmospheric CO2

In fact, the only scientist to test CO2 absorption/emission in the open atmosphere is Professor Nasif Nahle (Monterrey, Mexico) in his peer-reviewed paper, ‘Determining the Total Emissivity of a Mixture of Gases Containing Overlapping Absorption Bands.’ [1]

By performing his experiments in the open atmosphere Professor Nahle found:

“Applying the physics laws of atmospheric heat transfer, the Carbon Dioxide behaves as a coolant of the Earth’s surface and the Earth’s atmosphere by its effect of diminishing the total absorptivity and total emissivity of the mixture of atmospheric gases.”

Good video today Christian. I've been aware for a long time. Pace yourself.

Post was empty

So I was reviewing this thread, post is empty. I did not delete it. I've no idea what I'd said.

This is an excellent talk on CO2 by one of the founders of Greenpeace.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpKRE_hDEqg

And quite terrifying, when he points out that CO2 levels before the Industrial Revolution were so low (and declining) that life on Earth would have died out in 2-3 million years. Burning fossil fuels is literally saving the planet, and opposing them will condemn it to death.

We desperately need more CO2 in the atmosphere, not less.
