2019 - Mother Earth FAIR! Sponsor List is huge! https://www.motherearthnewsfair.com/exh ... -sponsors/
I was looking at Aberdeen yarn up in Ontario & saw their newsletter on Mother Earth  is the best ever! Highly recommended if you're just getting started or have a lot of questions. I went to one in Texas ~6 years ago.

"The Mother Earth News Fair is your passport to money-saving hacks, health-boosting remedies, and environmental strategies from leading experts and entrepreneurs around the country. In addition to presentations and hands-on workshops, you’ll encounter a vast marketplace abounding with innovative resources and products to enrich your life. Admission for children is free, and there are plenty of youth-oriented activities – including live animals!
With our growing emphasis on interactive programming, you can learn new skillsets live and on-site. More than ever before, the Mother Earth News Fair is truly an immersive experience where the magazine comes to life."

All Day Fair Tickets are $20.00, the Big Workshops run $15.00:

Belton, Texas - Feb 16-17 https://www.motherearthnews.com/store/p ... n-tex-fair
Ashville, NC - April 27-28 https://www.motherearthnews.com/store/p ... e-n-c-fair
Frederick, MD - June 1-2 https://www.motherearthnews.com/store/p ... ck-md-fair
Albany, OR - August 3-4 https://www.motherearthnews.com/store/p ... y-ore-fair
Seven Springs, PA - Sept 13-15 https://www.motherearthnews.com/store/p ... gs-pa-fair
Topeka, Kansas October 19-20 https://www.motherearthnews.com/store/p ... a-kan-fair

February is too soon and the others are miles away. :| I would love to go!

@Andy F, I go to the Mother Earth News Fair every year, and it is well worth it. We also have the Organic Grower's School here in the Asheville area. They put on two conferences every year (spring and fall), and they are also a great regional educational resource.

OGS is more heavily focused on education than is Mother Earth News Fair, and they're more expensive. Their classes run for an hour and a half as opposed to 50 min. They also have more in-depth workshops than does the Mother Earth News Fair (although if you can take a poultry workshop through MENF you will not be disappointed. The poultry workshops are top-notch).

Here is the schedule for the Organic Grower's School Spring Conference. If anyone is in the southern Appalachians, they should really consider going to this conference. I have attended it for a number of years and always look forward to it. The quality of instruction is excellent. In addition to the classes and half-day workshops listed in the link, there are also several pre-conference workshops to choose from. Tracks include: poultry, livestock, mushrooms, soils, cooking, pollinators, permaculture, earth skills, herbs, beginning and advanced farming, gardening, sustainable forestry, homesteading, sustainable living. There are probably more but I can't remember them all now.

It would be great if I could meet some of you there!
