I feel so sorry for this guy in the failure of his Hab 1.0 during a heavy snow storm.

$250 000.00 US for a learning curve is pretty steep indeed.

I hope he brushes himself off and tries again with the new lessons firmly in front of mind.
We need dudes like this in the community to innovate.

You have to build underground to avoid the snow and ice. The weight of one unexpected snow fall will crush above ground structures if the high winds do not destroy them first.
Take cues from the past and what ancient peoples did to survive. No need to re-invent the wheel. The clues of what to do are popping up frequently as archeologists make more discoveries.
We can use above ground greenhouses in the very short term but we must start transitioning to partial underground and then complete underground.
