I just bought and then cancelled an $18.99 "Tattu 14.8V 75C 4S 1550mAh Rechargeable"
normally used in drones. Ending up with 18650 I already have, 4 in parallel, holder, yada yada.......
Up & coming project for a bad a$$ fire starter, am working out the circuit now, and the charger I'd need if I already don't have & can modify.
Using 20 Gauge Kanthal A1 Nichrome wire I already have. Might need a current limiting series Resistor.
I'll update what I did here in a few days :P

Waiting for battery holders.

Bellows = scavenged telescoping antenna from old TV rabbit ears (paid 50 cents at Goodwill, or you can pay $6 to $12.00 at Amazing). Got 2 for 50 cents.
Cut off last 2-3 ends just short of an inch, bend smaller cut end ever so slightly so it's unable to get lost inside.
BLOW O2, fire loves O2. Phhoooooshhh blow kinda slow!!! FIRE!

How about Amazing?

Progress: Fire Starter, with Batteries, 16 Ga Tungsten wire.
I did this while watching IAF videos.
4 - 18650 eFest 3500 mAh Lithium batteries 12AWG wired in Parallel, two 2 battery holders epoxied back to back. The contacts bent up to make a slot to hold wires & then soldered, wires are epoxied to case.
The two orange caps are to epoxy over the Pos & Neg ends. (normally, I use those caps to mix epoxy in)
I'll replace the momentary switch to HD one which will carry larger current, it works for prototype. Replaced witta 30Amp Momentary ON Switch anna minor wire change.
I have 4" shrink tubing, will shrink around a mold, to allow removal.
It's a process, but it sure is great FUN to create one heckava Fire Starter.
I can't wait to push the button & start a campfire with it.

The 4" Shrink Tubing will shrink down just a bit larger than the body of the fire starter.
That will allow overlap so I can secure it closed with Marine Snaps.
I want to close it off, but still have access to change batteries.
Charging, remove the Tungsten Wire, attach 3.7VDC Battery Charger using battery clips.
In my battery charger, I've a wooden dowel with a steel tack in each end, with a wire soldered to the tack,
and battery alligator clips. Charges up the 4 battery pack pretty good, overnight.

Burlap bean bag.
Cut into 2" squares.
Soaked in Citronella Lamp OIL.
Stored in Coffee canister.

Works good.

Use it up, wear it out, make it do.
Be creative.
